So you finally decided to take a look at the Boards? Chat? Blog? or whatever you want to call it. No real rules here, more of a bunch of suggestions from some of the long time guys on the boards.
1. If you think you can post under 2 different names without me knowing, you are wrong.
2. Try to spell correctly and type sentences that at least appear to be grammatically correct. (Only I get the excuse for spelling errors, accuracy of information and bad grammar because it's my board and I have a ton of other crap to look at and foreign invaders to delete)
3. Be prepared to take a beating if you post crap.....or even if you don't.
4. Be prepared to take a beating if you are a dumbass....(see #2 above).
5. Don't take anything personal, just bring it next time.
6. You don't have to preface your posts with "I'm new here." we know that. we can see our post count and probably will not recognize your sign in name.
7. There is a list of Banned words and I don't remember all of them, but I know if you type G AY it will come out as Burrtio. (That sounds so gross)
8. While I rarely delete things, I can't read everything, but if something is too personal or you have a major issue with something Email me at
Bigfan@ChicagoSportsfan.com and I will most likely remove it. (Unless your name is Ike) To be very specific NO mentions of wives, GF's and specifically kids of anyone discusshere. It will be deleted and I might delete you as well.
9. Just so you are aware. Yes, many on air people read and post on the board and I do my best to try and make sure when someone named MAC posts it is Danny Mac and not some shithead trying to be him.
10. Welcome to the Shark Tank. You'll see what I mean after you read the responses to your post.
11. Expect deletions of posts that are
Lyrics or YOU TUBE videos in response to other posts, I am just sick of them! Sure, I will leave a few up, but post your own thoughts, not someone else's. (amended 4/12/2010)
12. Really no way to desrcibe this one but I will just be banning, or deactivating people for being a dick! Which of course is different from being an asshole. If you wish to express an opinion about something and take some time to do so, you are more than welcome to be an asshole, no matter what that opinion! But if you feel it is your duty to just post 4 word sentences in every section, then you're just being a dick and you can leave. (amended 7/16/2010)
13. Harassing another board member is also something that can cause you to be booted. Personal information posted, commenting after every single thing they post, or see rule #12. (Added 8/3/2010)
REMINDER: Annual Dues need to be paid no later than the end of this Month, or else Moose and Rocko will come a knockin.
